The Year of Faith begins in October 2012.
It provides an opportunity to read up on our Catholic faith.
My digest of the Catechism of the Catholic Church provides an easy to read summary of the faith plus a list of the Councils of the Church and favourite prayers. Available from Amazon or Gracewing at under ten pounds.

books of Fr. Jim

I have been writing books for longer than I can remember. I taught in a College preparing students for the Catholic priesthood and instructed permanent deacons before being a parish priest.
My special interest is Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman.

Books...Books...Books...

Welcome to my study where I am surrounded by the works of Catholic authors.  It is also where I produce my own books and I hope you will enjoy reading them. My particular interest is in Blessed John Henry Newman whose ecclesiology I studied in Salamanca where I produced The Church...A Communion, subsequently published as a paperback by Gracewing.

I was ordained for the Southwark diocese in England - and was subsequently sent to the English College Valladolid as Spiritual Director where I obtained my doctorate, and on return was appointed Dean of Studies for the Permanent Diaconate of the Southern dioceses.
